Climate Control Editorial Design

LSA Magazine is the alumni magazine of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) at the University of Michigan. LSA Magazine reaches an audience of 180,000 people with each publication. For the Spring 2020 edition, I illustrated and designed the layout for the feature story Climate Control. After reading the story I did exhaustive research to gather articles, data figures, photographs of students and professors, as well as images showcasing efforts being taken to address the issue of climate control. Each spread strategically combines facts, figures, and imagery to help bring visual life to the story.

The story presented itself across five spreads in which I worked in design elements to creatively tie each layout together. I weaved bright colors, large typography, graphic elements, and imagery of students into paragraphs of text to guide the reader through each page with curiosity and delight.
